City of Ryde is working with ZapCat, a certified social enterprise, to help local residents and businesses save on bills, make their homes / business more comfortable and reduce emissions. Through this free program, the Ryde community can access expert, independent advice on switching to electric appliances — such as solar panels, batteries, hot water heat pumps, EV chargers, induction cooktops and more. You can also get practical tips on reducing energy bills through insulation, draught proofing and other energy efficiency upgrades.

ZapCat provides instant online estimates for costs, savings and available rebates. Their expert advisors offer free virtual consultations to answer your questions, review quotes and help you make confident, informed choices. They can also connect you with vetted local installers. Please note that while Council has subscribed to ZapCat’s advisory service, it does not directly vet or endorse installers.
